As a financial planner, I can tell you that planning ahead is the key to meeting your financial goals. That being said, things can slip through the cracks during the hectic lives we all tend to live.
Financial issues tend to fall through the cracks of our lives because there simply isn’t sufficent time to sit down, take a deep breath and figure them out. Ah, but there is. The last week of each year is a lull, which means you need to get cracking.
The great plans of mice and men. Financial plans are or should be the basis of your financial future. There is, however, a bit of problem. It is called life. It has a bad habit of raising issues you haven’t anticipated, which means you need a new plan.
If you could see into the future, you could have a highly accurate financial plan. Frankly, you would be wildly rich. None of us, however, have pulled off the fortune teller gig, so we have to review our current and future financial situation at least once a year.
This gives rise to the rather obvious first question to ask yourself. What changes occurred in the past year that I didn’t anticipate? How did these changes impact the planning I have undertaken? Do I need to make changes?
So, what kind of changes are we talking about here? Well, the most obvious is the addition of a family member. No, not your bum brother. A child! Having a child is a glorious occasion, but it makes you grow up fast financially and personally.
In the case of a new child, your finances are going to evolve whether it is your first newborn or not. Children are wonderful things, but you need to keep them fed and housed. Of course, the money you spend on entertainment will drop so…
A new family addition should act as a catylst to make you consider your financial situation. How will you send them to college? What if something happens to you? Do you have a trust and will in place? Life insurance?
The example of a child is an obvious example, but there are plenty of others. What if you lost your job during the year and now have a new profession? What if you started your own business? These are major changes.

You have to do the whole hour of aerobics to burn off the 500 calories contained in a big piece of cheesecake. What is easier for you: exercising for 1 hour or not eating the cheesecake?
* Take A Pause
Next time when you are about to eat something you shouldn’t, pause for a couple of seconds and ask yourself - “Is It Worth It?” If the answer is “Yes”, go ahead and indulge. If the answer is “No”, step back and congratulate yourself for taking that pause.
* Slowly eat your food
Did you know it takes 20 minutes for the brain to establish a sense of fullness. Therefore, if you eat too fast, you will eat a lot more calories than your body really needs to feel full.
* Do Not Miss a Meal
Skipping meals is never a good idea. When you get hungry from a missed meal, it is really easy to eat too fast, eat wrong foods and eat too much.
* Plan Your Meals

I treat UTI and cystitis patients every day. Here is a dilemma I have come across several times when talking to people who have a cystitis or bladder infection, also frequently called a urinary tract infection. Hopefully this will help other sufferers from repeated UTI to know that they are not alone, and that many others worry too
Is regular sex important to your life and in your relationships? (For the majority of us it is, even if we have trouble in admitting it -even to ourselves). The difficulty is that even if sex is not particularly significant to you personally, and you can actually say that you would be content if your relationship had no sex within it -would your partner say the same?
Tricky question isn’t it? A true partner will put up with a lot - weight gain, bad temper, depression, tiredness - especially if they know that you are ill and have no control over your situation. But a lack of sex for many that is a real test of relationship!
You are having repeated UTI attacks, and of course, you plan to treat UTI as quickly as you can. But you also have a loving long-term partner. What do you do? Do you really know him that well, if you tell him you are treating cystitis or a UTI, will he really be supportive? After all, a bladder infection is not like putting on a couple of pounds, or being decidedly grumpy, or having a broken leg. Those conditions might make things tricky in bed (especially the broken leg), but at least your partner can’t catch a broken leg or depression from you after a vigorous hour or so - unless he falls out of bed!
But a UTI, especially a repeated UTI infection is very different! In spite of the fact that a large proportion of the population have had a UTI at some time; in spite of the fact that Cystitis Pain is very rarely life-threatening; and in spite of the fact that cystitis or UTI is not regarded as a sexual disease; - for most people it is still an embarrassing illness. No-one talks about bladder infections in mixed company!
And if you do decide to talk about it? Well, you’ll certainly separate your best friends from the rest. They’ll all feel sorry for you and console you, but only your really true friends will always be there to support you when you need them. And your sexual partner? Well that’s a whole different ball-game. Because unlike a bad temper, UTI’s and Cystitis CAN be transferred to a someone else during sex.
So do you tell them? A partner who really loves you will probably understand - at first anyway - and be willing (for their sake as well as yours), to abstain from relations until treatment can be effective. The trouble is, treating cystitis with antibiotics isn’t always immediate, or effective, or lasting, especially using doctor-prescribed antibiotics.
Antibiotics don’t permanently get rid of the UTI and cystitis bugs in the urinary tract that cause the condition, and now that doctors prescribe ever shorter courses of antibiotics in the interests of preventing them becoming ever less effective, repeated uti infections are more likely.
In a situation like this a dutiful lover could gradually become less understanding, less patient and less loving. It’s all about the way our brains are wired - if we usually get sex several times a week, and then it’s withdrawn, we get tetchy, irritable and - eventually - irrational. Although we know perfectly well that having a urinary tract infection isn’t our partner’s fault, we eventually start to blame them and start looking for alternatives.
So one solution for a sufferer of repeated UTI infections is not to tell their partner, but that won’t work if you feel so bad because of the infection that you just don’t want any sex any way. You can go to a doctor and get another prescription for antibiotics, then take a substantial initial dose in the hope of quickly killing the cystitis infection, (and risk the nasty side-effects that can result from killing off most of your good bacteria too). Or you could look around at traditional natural remedy for cystitis. There is a fantastic natural cure for UTI, one which quickly and effectively treats most bladder infections, cystitis and UTIs.

#5 Walk.
Just walk! Lots of people don’t bother taking the occasional stroll because they consider it a futile undertaking in terms of fat loss. Not so. Any effort to keep active goes a long way, especially if you think of how many miles you’ll eventually tread when you put all your short walks end to end. This idea goes both ways; if you can’t even make an effort to get out the door, think of how many pounds you’ll eventually pile on just for refusing to go the distance.
#6 Exercise
Did you really think we could write this list without throwing in some physical activity? Come on, you should know better than that. To lose that belly fat quickly, you have to keep moving. Lift some weights, do some cardio, play a game of pick-up ball, and before you know it, your belly will no longer be made of jelly.
