Individual Health Insurance Company

At present many people out there are opting to switch from a group health insurance plan to an individual health insurance plan. Well taking both of these coverage plans into account, it is more than necessary to mention that there are a lot of significant differences that exist between these two types of insurances and also in the way both of these cost. This article will help you gain an idea of the basic differences between the individual health insurance plans and the group health insurance plans. An idea of this distinction will make it easier for you to decide which one would be more suitable for you.
To start off, it is Group Health Insurance we will be talking about. This insurance coverage is supposed to be purchased by the employer or a business owner from a company that sells health insurance plans. All the employees who are responsible are entitled to receive the coverage as a part of the plan. The greatest advantage with these insurance plans is that these are a lot more affordable and cost effective. And that is precisely so as when buying these the small business owner enjoys the buying power of the entire group. Moreover, the insurer bases all the premium rates calculating the entire insurance amount that the whole group will use as a collective.
Nonetheless, when one buys an individual health insurance plan the premium is calculated not on the basis of a group but based on the individual alone. That is the simple secret to the individual health care insurance plans being so much more expensive. The individual health insurance plans are bought directly from the company and not through any employer. In this case it is the sole responsibility of the individual buying the insurance to choose upon the coverage that he will like to purchase either for himself or his entire family. Often the individual health care insurance plans also do not cover the expenses of the substance abuse treatments within the coverage.
Yet another viable difference between the individual health care plans and the group health care plans is that with the latter it is a legal binding on the insurance company to provide coverage for each and every individual who works for the employer who buys the plan. However, with the former the companies are not bound to provide the clients with a policy. This is a fact that can be very alarming for people who already have a few existing coverages. For instance, in case you suddenly lose your job you will realize that though you still are covered by the group health care plan yet it is becoming almost impossible for you to find an individual plan that would back you up. Hence the assurance factor is not that solid.
In some US states, the insurance companies are eligible to issue policies to all those individuals who already have a pre-existing plan. But these policies are issued only under circumstances of an exclusive provision. What that indicates is that no service will be provided for any of the pre-existing conditions.

Which company is better for individual health insurance–Aetna vs United?
I’m currently trying to buy an individual health insurance plan. There are two companies that I’m interested in–Aetna and United because I think those are the two best companies. However, I’m trying to decide between the two of them. Which do you think is better?
I think you should ask your insurance broker. Your insurance broker can go over the two companies, help you with the application process, AND help you at claim time should a claim be declined. Both are good, but it depends on where you live and what the plan looks like for you. I have clients with both companies and I have them with both because one is not always better than the other.
When you do business with a broker you’re not paying them so get their expertise to work for you.
Have All Health Insurance Companies Quit Selling Individual Policies For Kids?
Thanks to ObamaCare, kids can no longer get health insurance on an individual plan. The companies simply quit writing new business. Now, ALL children are unable to get individual health insurance. Are any companies left offering individual health insurance for children, or did Obama assure all children will be unable to get individual health insurance coverage?
All insurance companies in my state have quit offering child only policies, as have they in all states which I’m aware. Now, to insure a child at least one parent must also be on the plan. The reason for this is healthcare reform requires insurance companies to cover all pre-existing conditions effect 9/23/10. The companies had to quit writing child only policies to keep the premium from increasing drastically. After they’ve had a year or so loss experience we’ll see what happens.

Thanks To Obamacare, Are There No More Individual Health Insurance Policies Available For Children?
I’ve been looking everywhere, but I cannot find any health insurance company that will write an individual health insurance policy for a child. Before Obamacare, there were hundreds of sources for individual health insurance plans for kids, now there are NONE.
Does anyone have any idea if there is anyone writing individual health insurance policies for kids?
If that is true I’m not surprised. That was the real reason for of the legislation after all. To force as many people on the ” government option” as possible. A giant leap toward their goal of ” single payer” ( government run and controlled) health care.
A good health insurance company offering individual health and dental coverage for self employed people?
I live in Florida.
Hi, I think you should consider a BlueCross/BlueShield policy. Their rates are very good right now if you don’t have any pre-existing conditions. You can also add a dental policy. Aetna and Humana can be very good also, but I think your best bet at the moment is BCBS.
If you want to sent me a quick e-mail with your birth date, I’d be glad to return a quote by e-mail from all three companies so you can compare, and then I’ll show you how to find an agent in your area online. warren@iccf.us
